College-Age Health Survey with Marin HHS
IIHR is working with Marin County Health and Human Services to collect data from students at College of Marin and Dominican University of California. IIHR developed a survey aligned with the California Healthy Kids Survey to help local partners better understand the health and experiences of college-age residents. The research is ongoing, and data collection continues at both campuses.
The survey covers students’ backgrounds and sense of connectedness, along with these areas:
- Mental Health: Well-being, access to support, and barriers to care
- Substance Use: Use patterns, experiences, and awareness of support services
- Sexual Health: Experiences and sources of health information
- General Health: Sleep and views on vaccines
- Emergency Preparedness: Evacuation and communication plans
