The Institute of Interdisciplinary Health Research
Bringing Data Equity and Action to the Community
Our Objectives
We intend to support rigorous interdisciplinary health research by utilizing experts to reach
organizational development goals and increasing funding opportunities by:
01 Research Planning and Evaluation
Program planning and evaluation are critical parts of any organization’s success, leading
to well-designed and feasible programs that yield meaningful results. IIHR can partner
with community-based organizations to identify program goals and measurable
objectives, review the existing evidence, and determine appropriate research
methodologies, all while respecting population specific needs and realistic schedules
and budgets. [[READ MORE]]
02 Grant Writing
Securing funding for direct services, research, evaluation,or capacity building is
important for community-based organizations. IIHR can assist organizations to write
successful grant proposals that clearly communicate the need for the project, the plan
for addressing that need, and the expected outcomes. The collaboration between IIHR
and organizations in these efforts can lead to fruitful partnerships. IIHR is qualified to
assist with identifying grant opportunities, carefully tailoring proposals to funders’ needs
and requirements, and enabling strong collaborations. [[For a list of grants currently
